La Paz, 30 jul (ABI).- El presidente de Bolivia, Evo Morales Ayma, recibirá el lunes los títulos de Doctor Honoris Causa de las Universidades de Cuyo y de San Juan por ser "un símbolo de la lucha en defensa de los pueblos de América Latina?, de acuerdo con la Resolución.
Morales participará el lunes en San Juan en la Cumbre del Mercado Común del Sur (MERCOSUR).
La distinción al Primer Mandatario le será entregada en un acto a celebrarse en el auditorio Juan Victoria de la capital sanjuanina.
Según la propuesta aprobada por el Consejo Superior de la UNCuyo, Evo Morales ?es considerado un símbolo de la lucha en defensa de los pueblos de América Latina, ya que es el primer presidente constitucional integrante de un pueblo originario de América?.
Y, en esa condición, ?es el primer presidente que en la reforma constitucional reconoce un Estado Plurinacional y Multicultural que incluye a las diversas nacionalidades, y de esta manera construye un nuevo concepto de ciudadanía en el que la jerarquización y la visibilidad de los pueblos originarios posee rango constitucional?.
Evo Morales accedió a la presidencia de Bolivia en diciembre de 2005, con el 53,74 por ciento de los votos, y revalidó su cargo en diciembre de 2009 con el 64 por ciento de la votación.
No será la primera vez que el Mandatario de Bolivia reciba un Honoris Causa en Argentina, ya que también en 2009 el presidente boliviano fue distinguido con ese título por la Universidad Nacional de La Plata.
